The Job Foundation

Nature Day 2017

The Job Foundation got to enjoy some nature, sun, and fun this July!

Once a year, program participants of The Job Foundation, volunteers and their families have a fun outing at George Wyth State Park. This year’s event included boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing and a picnic. This was the 10th year for this event with 110 people attending!

“Thank you so much for yesterday,” said one parent. “My son was so happy, I cried. There is so many things going on right now and he needed something positive and fun.”

For the third year in a row, Brandon and Kevin Zabel, part of Orchard Hill’s Paddling Ministry, brought their team of kayak and canoe enthusiasts to help out with Nature Day. The Paddling Ministry shared not only their canoes and kayaks, they shared their wisdom, passion, and generosity!

These pictures are just a glimpse into some of the great memories the children and families had – thanks in part to our amazing volunteers, mentors, and nature lovers – all amazing people- who stepped out to share with others!
